Gundiach Tools

Gundlach Tools (the Beno J. Gundlach Company) is a family-owned, USA-based manufacturer of professional flooring installation tools and equipment. Based in Belleville, Illinois, and operating since 1927, distributors and contractors have counted on Gundlach to supply tools that perform, last, and serve the needs of every professional installer. woodfloorbusiness
The company produces a broad range of professional-grade tools for working with carpet, hardwood, vinyl, tile, and stone. Its product line includes:
  • Cutting and measuring tools — steel and aluminum straight edges, T-squares, flooring cutters, and knives, precision-crafted for accuracy on sheet-goods and hard-surface flooring work.
  • Tile installation systems — including the GLS tile leveling system (clips, wedges, and pliers) for achieving flat, lippage-free tile installations.
  • Prep and finishing equipment — scrapers, blades, and specialty installation tools covering everything from surface preparation to final finishing.

In September 2025, Gundlach acquired Ceno USA, a Houston-based leader in floor preparation and finishing equipment, combining nearly 140 years of industry experience and expanding its portfolio into industrial vacuums and floor-prep systems. The move gives distributors serving the flooring trades a more comprehensive, one-stop product line. floortrendsmag
The brand is widely regarded as synonymous with quality and durability, with tools carried by major flooring suppliers and retailers.

Schluter Systems

Schluter Profiles are engineered metal and PVC trim pieces used in tile installations to finish, protect, and transition tiled surfaces. Made primarily by Schluter-Systems, they serve both functional and decorative purposes.

Common types include:
  • Edge profiles (like the Schluter-RONDEC and JOLLY lines) that finish exposed tile edges on countertops, walls, and outside corners, protecting them from chipping.
  • Transition profiles (such as RENO and SCHIENE) that bridge tile to adjacent flooring of different heights or materials.
  • Stair-nosing profiles (TREP series) that provide safe, slip-resistant edges on tiled steps.
  • Movement joint profiles (DILEX) that absorb stress and prevent cracking across large tiled areas.

They come in a range of finishes—anodized aluminum, stainless steel, brass, and color-coated options—to match or accent the tile design. Beyond aesthetics, they help prevent cracked edges, create clean lines, and improve durability in both residential and commercial settings.

Spin Doctor Tile Lippage Control System

Achieving a flush surface from one tile to another has never been easier. With the Spin Doctor Lippage Control System, you can spin the leveling cap down with ease to the tile surface in seconds. Other systems require tools, use of both hands, or awkward repetitive motions which can cause user fatigue when installing large format tile. The Spin Doctor System uses a fast and precise free-spin action that accommodates most tile up to 3/4” (20mm).
